The CooperTown Cafe

Mississippi blues and excellent ole’ & rsquo; comfort food simply appear to go together. They absolutely work out together at Coopertown Café, a dining establishment located in Hattiesburg, run by native Brookhaven brothers, Cameron and Doyce Cleckler. “& ldquo; We come from a cooking family members,” & rdquo; stated proprietor, Cameron Cleckler. Their grandparents, Houston and Gladys Jordan, opened The 84 Milk Twist in the 1960s.

Not only are the food and music southerly, but the décor is, too. Each tabletop screens a motif, whether it be “& ldquo; Chosen the Wind” & rdquo; or & ldquo; Southern Miss. & rdquo; Camp Shelby is also stood for. “& ldquo; Every table top is an original that we made ourselves,” & rdquo; stated C. Cleckler. The café has a casual feeling. The owner explained the atmosphere as “& ldquo; really laid back & rdquo; – and & ldquo; informal dining & rdquo;-- the best environment for the smooth, velvety blues. A quote in the vivid Coopertown Café menu checks out, “& ldquo; Food done with love by individuals who enjoy food.”
